Sell With Us

At Plato's Closet South Austin, we buy and sell the gently used, teen and young adult, clothes, shoes and accessories that have been coming out of the mall and the retail stores for the past 12-18 months.

We buy every single day on a first-come-first-served basis, starting at 10am Mon-Sat and 12pm Sun and ending when we reach capacity for the day. We recommend calling ahead (512-358-8888) to check if we are still taking buys at the time that you are getting ready to bring yours in.

We ask that you bring your items in freshly laundered and dried, off of hangers and folded in a bag or box. We're looking for ready to wear items that are free of tears, stains, holes, odors, etc.

You are required to present a current, valid, government issued photo ID (i.e. driver's license, state ID or passport) in order to sell with us.

We determine whether to take items based on the style, condition, demand for our store, and the brand name. We offer cash on the spot for anything we accept.

Items are priced approximately 50-75% off the original retail price, and you will receive about 1/3 of our sale price in cash, store credit, or trade.
